Tis the season
Our house is an old farm house. Originally had three rooms and a dog-trot hall. Some years ago the previous owner closed in the dog-trot, added a closet (the only one in the house) at the end of the hall, turned the leanto kitchen into the bathroom and added two additional small bedrooms at the other end of the hall (he had two sets of twins). Therefore, at the change of seasons, I have to do the semi-annual swap of the clothes. Drag the heavy containers out of the attic, pull out what I can still wear set aside those I can't and refill the containers w/clothes being put back in the attic until the season changes for the next go round.
This is always a hassle and somewhat discouraging as some of my favorite clothes from the previous year never fit. So this morning before I trudge off to my last day of work for this 7 on, I'm am doing the dreaded swap out. Actually, this year it's not so bad since I've been about to freeze at work and here at home. I found my turtleneck shirts that I wear under my scrubs and my comfy flannel pj's. I will be warm tonight.
Hopefully, we will be able to add an addition to the house in the spring with a very large closet and this activity will cease to take place. Or I could simply get rid of the clothes at the end of each season and get new. Only problem w/that is I hate to shop for clothes for myself. Guess why!!!

Elaine – I feel your pain. During the winter here in “frigid” east central Florida, I have to exchange my short pants for longer short pants. It’s a real pain.
Sorry for being a bit of a “smarty.”
I’ve heard Greg speak of your house and the property it sits on. It must be a great place to live.

I do love our place but there are a few draw backs. The older I get the harder it is to use the attic closet.
Thanks for the compliment, but the opposite is true - lose weight.
You guessed it right, Greg. Shopping for clothes keeps me from the real joy of life - the guitar.

Greg - The "sickness" continues. You must stop seeing life through your "Les Paul tinted glasses."
Perhaps if you took the vitamin fwhedkav it would help with your "sickness."
Greg - What ever it is, sickness or perspective, you've given it to my son!
And on a serious note I'm glad you did. As we were coming home from his Tuesday (from here will be known as S&P) S&P lessons, he told me he hopes he gets good enough to play with you this summer.
Now that's a perspective that warms my heart.
